I went to Bug's Valentine's party at school, then came home to play with the babies. Ande worked last night, so he's sleeping. Don't have any big romantical plans for later tonight...I might make some pink cupcakes later, though.

Sounds like you are WAY creative when it comes to celebrating, though! Can I come eat dinner at your house tonight? I could bring the above mentioned cupcakes...LOL

Thanks for the video greeting, it's fun to actually see who's behing the words. (Don't look for me to do something like that anytime soon, though - I HATE being photographed in any form...)

Happy Valentine's Day to you and your family!

Sounds like fun. I am not spending it with my love until much later. I have an ACS meeting...I LOVE Relay. I also have a sick child on the couch. I will be lucky to sneak out to Target and pick up the script, let alone anything pink or red. Have lots of fun. I like the video greeting but I won't be doing that on my blog. I see another personal side of you...which is nice. For my V-Day tribute, visit my blog and say hello. Theresa

Nice Video Blog. Sounds like you have everything all planned out for tonight's Valentine Dinner. I on the other hand, have my day full with 2 classroom parties to prepare for and attend to this afternoon. Then it's home to get the kids fed and out the door again to be at a church function at 5pm.

*sigh*

I do have a nice card for my husband and cute little valentine gifts to give to all 3 of my boys.

A special dinner will have to wait till this weekend though.

I couldn't get that creative! I'll be lucky if I make dinner. It might be a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphys! Have a great night.

I have a treat for all the monkey doodles after school. A new book we can read together and then Daddy said he will take us all out to Cheeburger Cheeburger for dinner and milkshakes (Becasue We moms should not have to cook on VDay) My hubby and are are celebrating it next weekend when my MIL has invites all four over for a sleepover. Thanks for the video!

Wow! What great ideas. I hope it's okay if I borrow a few of yours. I didn't have any plans - being the uncreative person I am - so I think I'll borrow some of yours and make cards for my kids and a special dessert to go in wine glasses.

Oh, and my hubby promised to watch a chick-flick with me tonight without all the groaning, eye-rolling and snide remarks that he usually expresses quite liberally. :-)

Shel,
I see/"talk" more with you now that I moved out of the development than when I lived in the development. Have a great day. It was great to see your smiling face!

Happy Valentine's Day, Michelle! Loved the video! and the color of your dining room. Will you change it for every holiday?
My V. day has been fun! Red pancakes, red fruit kabobs for a classroom party, a clay heart pin from B, champagne and flowers from DH, presents from my mom and sister and I am eagerly awaiting the V day cupcakes for dessert. To see more of my day, check out my blog!

Don't know about anyone else but I think you should do a blog "video" once a week. It's refreshing and cool. I should do one too, only I don't have a video camera. By the way, what's up with the huge hands.....Kidding....didn't notice the crooked glasses. I'm glad I'm not the only one who talks with their hands....By the way did your son ever make it over the baby gate? Mine woke up from his nap in rare form today. Wouldn't eat dinner because he said a goldfish was hurting him in his mouth. When I finally threatened him to eat or get the paddle he flipped his spaghetti out onto the placemat and then still wouldn't eat it because it was a "worm" he said. We stayed in and ate at home to save buckolas. I did get my husband a bottle of wine he'd been looking for that we enjoyed over dinner. Not the whole bottle....mind you! Heather

Patti...I know, I am sad you are gone - I didn't even know you moved until you were gone! :(

Heather...I am thinking Thursdays are my new 'video blog day' I just have to think of a fun name for it...

First of all - when you said you had big hands in the video (you don't, btw!) all I could think of was the Seinfeld espisode about the "man hands"! LOL!!! Michelle, what an awesome idea to do a video blog! I LOVE it! You are so creative! You planned such a nice Valentine's day. I heated up left-overs. "Happy Valentine's Day, family!"

Hey, I liked the video. The not-so-big 'big hands' only accentuate the lovely NAILS!!

Well, today I went to the kids' school to watch them do ballroom dancing! And then the baby and I did errands. The afternoon was spent opening up cards and eating candy. We had a lovely supper and a Marie Callendar's pie. Yum! And my husband spent the evening with us reading and just bonding as a family. No romantic date, but certainly a wonderful day.

I love the idea of a themed supper for Valentine's Day. How fun! Well, hope you had a great day.

I have to share the Valentine surprise I recieved from my, newly renewed in Christ, husband. First i have to explain his odd work schedule. He works a swing shift at his primary job and also works a part time job. When he is on night-shift he works the part time job during the days so he is NOT HOME AT ALL for 4 days. Well V-day fell in the middle of his 4 days away.
I just started working at our church a few weeks ago. Well on Thur. I was working and was called to the office. As I turned the corner I see a HUGE teddy bear sitting in my chair, flowers and a card. Shelly and Linda are smiling as I read the card and think WHO did he get to do this for him!? I then said, "I thought he was working?" Then out pops my hubby from the back office! He left the aprt time job early enough to do this and get to his primary job on time! I was so touched. The Lord is changing and softening my husband's heart in so many amazing ways. I am beyond blessed! This was my 2nd best V-day ever. The BEST is STILL 1994 when he proposed to me!
Sorry to ramble on so much! But I had to share!
PS. Michelle where is the music?? I miss it~!
PSS: Tomorrw night at church??? 1 AM??You are a brave woman! LOL!!

Our V-day was a little different than usual this year. My Dear MIL invited us over for dinner-which included some of my hubby & son's fav dishes that I ABSOLUTELY NEVER will EVER make! (see my blog-the kings mountain-for details!) Then last evening was our traditional v-day dinner at home & tonight sees my hubby & I out the door for a lovely evening with friends. I love it when holidays just seem to last & last!

Although my husband and son were out of town on a science field trip on Valentines day, I will remember this valentines day for a long time. My friend and my daughter's 1st grade teacher (for the first half of the year) has been diagnosed with breast cancer. I was her "prayer warrior" on February 14th. I started the day at midnight, sending her a link to the Martina McBride "Anyway" video on youtube. I sent her an email at 7:40 a.m. telling her I woke up praying for her. I called her later in the morning to sing "I Need thee Every Hour" on her answering machine. I called her later to tell her that 20 women would be praying for her in an hour and then went to my church circle meeting, shared her story with them and we all went to bat for her. I picked up her kids later that day to take them to Chuck E. Cheese while she took a nap. I gave her my personal copy of my favorite all time CD by Selah, instructing her to listen to "His Eye is on the Sparrow" first. I cried so many times that day. But with hope. I will remember Valentine's day 2008 for a very long time.

Thank you for the video, it was great to see you in action!

I also want to know how you got everything done with a sick toddler? I don't get anything done even when my son isn't sick!

I had a nice Valentine's Day. My husband sent me a box of chocolate covered strawberries and the cold I've had forever was finally going away and I felt better that day.

Happy Valentine's Day to you!

Check out my blog to find out how my valentines day went - not my best day to be sure. And the reason I'm now catching up on a weeks worth of blog reading.
