Ok, so thanks to Mel, for totally confessing to EVERY guilt I have with my kids....my one other guilt that I have that I didn't hear was....feeling guilty about wanting to go to the bathroom without having everyone in there with me wanting to talk & watch...is that such a bad thing to want? Loved the show Michelle...can't wait till the next one.

Wow - loved it!
Alot of the things Mel said hit home here too - I spend too much time on the computer - and I forget how muc fun my 10 yr old can be sometimes. the other day I was like ok, we are going to run to the mall to pick up m ring, but then spent an hour or more there with her, laughing, window shopping, eating things we shouldn't have and had a great day...
I specifically make family night - for movies, board games or whatever and the three of us eat dinner then hit the tv/game whatever. None of us are allowed to do anything on the computer that night - its hard...
Thanks for everything Michelle. I will have to think on the self image question and get back to you on that one.

OMS Mel!
THAT was a comprehensive list.
What you said... except I don't have a laptop, don't do much youtube... I guess that's it.

Michelle, FABulous opening show. You're awesome. Um, one question - I subscribed, but I didn't get an email about the show. ?

And one other q - I see 2 comments on the youtube site. Are there more for the show, or are people just commenting here?

Nice variety overall in the show, too.
Well, off to go sit in my wardrobe (great reference!)... even though it's just the dog and me home right now.

My guilty moments:

Telling my husband to watch our son while I take a shower, but I secretly am just running the water for 20mins so I can get some time away from my husband... why is it that he needs to always ask "Do you think he is hungry? Does he need a snack? Is it time for his nap?" Our son is 19mths old.. obviously my husband hasn't been paying attention over the past few months to learn that he is the father and can make parental decisions to

Oh, I also feel guilty that my 19mth old knows how to turn on the tv and turn the DVR to Noggin... I find it hard to entertain him consistently from 3pm-8pm without a small break here and there

Hi! I linked over here from Dawn's Blog. My guilty pleasures are reading online and watching Lost, Survivor, and Idol. But, my one and only DS is now 9, so he is pretty good at keeping himself occupied with his Legos, and doing his homework on his own.

I found a website in September that is really helping me keep my house in order and keep track of things. It is flylady.net and I would suggest anyone that has problems keeping house or has self-esteem issues to visit the site. The whole program is laid out on her site, and all of that is free.

Michelle,
Good job on the show - great thoughts about not allowing guilt to run our lives.

For a treat and a few laughs - watch this ... make sure you catch the line about shame and pantyhose, near the end of the story :)

I'm glad I finally got a minute to watch this! I plopped my kid in front of the t.v. and shared in all the Mommy Guilt. There is strength in numbers and I am not alone. Like so many others, I am a lot like Mel! What a surprise to be one of the viewer mail comments. I feel like a celebrity. Now, have to quit playing on the computer and give my preschooler a little attention before I throw her down for a nap. Thanks for the show and looking forward to the next episode.
